Excellent location near shopping and transport options.

During my stay, I encountered multiple inconveniences. The air conditioning unit was exceptionally loud, making it difficult to sleep peacefully at night. Additionally, I found the beds and pillows quite uncomfortable, which detracted from my overall comfort. With only two washing machines available for the large hotel, I faced long waits to do laundry during my four-night stay.

I loved staying at Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi. The location is perfect, just minutes from Gion, Kawaramachi, and Nishiki market. So many restaurants and sights nearby. My room was spacious, more than expected, and incredibly comfortable. I enjoyed the rain shower, which felt luxurious. Free bottled water and an electric kettle added a nice touch for convenience. Staff interactions were mostly positive, with a few of them speaking English well. They helped me with luggage shipping, making my travel smooth. However, the breakfast was disappointing. I found the food cold and not flavorful enough for the price. The windows in the room were covered in milk glass, blocking any views which felt a bit claustrophobic. A weird odor lingered in the room despite cleaning. Overall, the balance of quality and comfort made the stay enjoyable, despite a few hiccups.

This place was really cool. The rooms were super modern and utilized space like pros! Plus, the zen common area with free coffee and sake was perfect for unwinding after long days. Only hiccup was the elevator being a bit slow at times, but nothing too crazy. Would totally recommend if you're in Kyoto!
